“Measure What Matters”

Small Device...
Massive Impact.

LIOR™ is a handheld digital pupilometer
built for EMS, ER, and Neurocritical Care.

It captures pupil size and reactivity in seconds using infrared imaging, LED indicators, and a single-button interface.

Designed for field reliability, LIOR™ helps clinicians move from guesswork to standardized, objective assessment.

Where Will LIOR Make a Difference?

LIOR™ is being built to address critical gaps in neurological assessment. Whether in the field, at the bedside, or in remote settings, clinicians need fast and objective data. Manual penlights are outdated. LIOR™ replaces guesswork with reliable digital measurement. It brings standardized care to environments where precision is essential. ICU and Critical Care

Sedated and intubated patients require objective monitoring of brainstem function. LIOR™ provides consistent pupil measurements to detect neurological changes that can be missed with manual checks.

LIOR™ Development Journey

“From Concept to Clinical Impact”

Early Device Concept

The custom PCB integrates IR sensing, LED arrays, and optimized circuitry to ensure fast, reliable pupil data collection.

Pre-Prototype Design Work

The first two CAD designed models of LIOR™ with simplicity in mind: Pupil size LED array, Near Infrared Camera and Reactivity lights with a single activation button, The addition of a toggle switch to flashlight mode was added to the current design.

Clinical Workflow Optimized

The PLR-3 Logarithm is developed and the addition of a toggle switch to flashlight is added to the hardware. The device can now be used as both a pupillometer and a flashlight depending on the situation

Current Iteration and Rendering

Ergonomic, pocket-sized, and ready for frontline use, the refined LIOR™ design focuses on clinician comfort and workflow speed.

Proof of Concept

LIOR™ is on track for Validation. The PLR-3 Algorithm is currently at version 6 boasting a simulated 95% accuracy in both Pupil Diameter and Reactivity. A rotational bezel with added sights and a red focus ring around the camera lens will help the user to perfect positioning.

Introducing the “PLR-3” Algorithm

LIOR™ PLR‑3 delivers an impressive 95 % overall accuracy resulted from 50 000 AI simulated conditions with instant feedback and no added hardware beyond alignment sights and a red focus ring, supporting fast and objective assessment in EMS, ER, and ICU settings.

Look inside LIOR™. This rendering displays the red, yellow and green reactivity lights with communication between the camera and the MCU. The firmware is being developed with the PLR-3 Algorithm at it’s core to provide the highest level of accuracy.
Simple three‑light output. Instant result with either a green (normal) yellow (abnormal) or red (PLR absent).
Sights and a focus red focus ring improves accuracy and reduce rejects without extra hardware.
Validated at 95 % accuracy across a variety of clinical lighting. Click for more info…
Processing stays inside camera and MCU limits, Results are NOT stored beyond reset point, thus protecting patient privacy.

How Does LIOR™ Work?

During the design process the most important feature was ease of use and making LIOR™ simple to operate . Our “Click, Point, Shoot” workflow lets clinicians do just that. Click on the heading “Operational Workflow” for an video animation.
